NEVERDEAD!!

I want to play this, is it repetitive?

Well, I think every game has its own mechanic which in the end you keep doing over and over again.  Having said so, the game is basically a "different" action game, because even though you cant technically die, you can get handicapped in some way and eaten which is basically a game over.    You kill monsters, solve some "puzzles" by dismembering yourself (because your head is the only thing that can pass through the hole), try to not get eaten while being only a head, and regen your body if you have the energy to do so.

The fighting dynamic for me is pretty fun, because there is always something happening,  wether you are using your sword or your guns against a monster, you really need to be on your toes, because another monster can ram and you get dismembered, so you need get assembled while continue fighting the monsters in order to avoid get eaten.  The assault rifle is the best gun in the game and with most monsters the sword is THE weapon  (when you have all the upgrades).    You can also use "elemental power" of the environments, so if you shoot to a tank gas and you get on fire, you will do fire damage with your stuff.  You can also get electrified if for example you shout at some lamp and there is water near, and you happen to be in the water; and so you do electric damage.    The environmental damage can be done directly to the monster if instead of you being near the explotion, the monster is.   I think you need mostly a bit of patience if you get decapitated often.

The game tone and backstory, even though are serious stuff, the game as soon as you begin to play it you realize that the game is aiming to be nothing serious.  The game does not take itself seriously, but not to the point of lollypop Chainsaw (if you have played it).

In other words I find it fun :D

If you don't mind repepetitive hack 'n' slash action, it's worth picking up cheap. Good mindless fun, though only really good for short bursts as it gets monotonous after a while.

I played Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz and Spongebob: Creature from the Crusty Crab much more time than I'm proud off.

When i cannot think about what to play these hack and slash are perfect to burn an hour or so on.  Wish this was also on PS3 as be fun to check out.

The N64 immediately came to mind when reading the thread title, as there are alot of crappy / bad games for that system that were my guilty pleasure at one point or another.  Some off the top of my head...

Average 3-D figher... but c'mon, you get to play as a frickin' COW!!!

Sort of a poor man's MGS, but the gunplay and cover system was kinda cool... plus you had unlimited pistol ammo.

The actual "racing" was terrible, but man oh man did me and my buddies have hours of fun just smashing the hell out of each other in the battle arenas!

I rented it a few times and enjoyed it.  I dunno, guess I just have a soft spot for the original Paperboy games.

Licensed game?  Check.  Complete ripoff another game made by the same developer / publisher?  Check.  Didn't matter, I still enjoyed it, almost solely for the ridiculous "weapons" and the potty-mouth dialogue, of which I had never heard the likes from a console game before (especially on a Nintendo system), which took 3 years until Conker came out to top it.

I liked wrestling games, and I liked me some ECW back in the day, so even though this was at the low end of wrestling games on a console that featured some of the best of all time, I still enjoyed it.

And the worst of the worst...

I've only ever played a ROM of this game because it never received a US release, and for good reason.  The game is barely even a game... it plays like some alpha-stage demo made by someone who just started learning how to program for the N64.  But... you're on hoverboards that can defy gravity and can magically ride along objects vertically, including scaling the walls of a giant house!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
