What's your favourite setting for a video game? 

For me personally, the ones I seem to lean to lean towards the most are sci-fi, and fantasy settings (this may be somewhat influenced by my love for RPGs, which always seem to fall under one of these two categories). I also really enjoy Steampunk, which is frustrating because I feel like developers use it rather rarely. Why can't we have more games like Dishonored and Thief?

Alien. It has to be good games though like

Halo
Gears
Crysis (although it has much more potential)
Killzone
Resistance

Just because that is persona I like you haha

But is there any other good games that has the High School setting?  

I'm a big fan of post-apocalyptic settings. It allows a very volatile mix of the familiar and the unknown. I also like fantasy settings, though I generally prefer a more grounded medieval feel. Straight sci-fi would be my favorite after that, though I like it to be somewhat realistic in tone. Present day stuff, like GTA or CoD, often leaves me cold. It just doesn't inspire me much.

i have not really a favourite setting and it depends on the genre but i love settings in the distant future (like halo), post-apocalyptic settings (fallout or now the last of us) and i love settings using stuff from the nordic mythology.

I like any setting that isn't post apocalyptic.

Steampunk.

I like the futuristic clashed with traditional settings that my favourite Final Fantasy games went for (VII & VIII).

I also like the design in early Spyro the Dragon games (whodathunk?) which I can only describe is "colour-blocked high fantasy"

Oh, and I always seem to love the "futuristic cityscape" designs of WipEout titles:
