but serious now: 3DS was competing with the DS, PSP and Vita.

i think you need to go look at the 3ds sales. its only a beast in japan. and the wii u is under gamecube. 3ds was never even close.

Also, wii u will be limited to the amount ordered and that will be limited to amount manufactured. considering its barely selling retailers wont order that many

3DS is following a sales pattern simar to the DS in its early years, so it's definitely not too late for the system to reverse its fortunes in the West like the DS did.

that doesnt help the wii u, but i think you should check the ds numbers coming up. npd thread is a good place to check. 3ds will start falling behind at a more rapid rate

Never said it would help Wii U. I've checked the NPD thread, and it seems to support my belief that 3DS is trending similarly to how DS did in North America at this point in its lifespan.
