Slick animations, but as a hater of all things non-Nintendo, I will have to pass on this. I saw a gun, which translates into generic shooter fanfare. Maybe when I'm less jaded I will pick this up.

I bet your girlfriend is not from nintendo, neither your car or your dog,or the air you breathe or your parents. But I guess you don't hate them.

there is also  no reason to hate this game(because at the end of tlou they will rescue pricess peach as mario refused to enter a world that looks real and has weapons)

Always about the journey not the destination.

Not knocking this game though. The visuals are cool. But the journey is the same. There are only so many ways you can shoot a gun.

if it is always about journey for you than i'd advise you to play

journey

it is all about journey, not destination, very enlightning game,no guns, interessting style, great atmosphere.nintendo fans will like the low polygon count and the low res textures xD)

only problem for you-it is again not a nintendo game.

I don't see anything jaw dropping about the combat. its very basic and very simple with no variety . To me it look s exactly like Uncharted 3 combat which was far from jaw dropping. There games like TLOU with batter combat

Chief Editor at Gamereactor writes:

"I've been playing The Last Of Us

The preview disc has been spinning in my PS3 the last couple of days and my gosh does this game feel good. Enemies are genuinely scary and I really want to sneak past them to avoid being scared to death for the 124th time. I already care about the characters Joel and Ellie. It is gorgeous and oozes of great atmosphere. Review copy is apparantly one week away and it smells like a really high grade."

sounds really good.

when a game can keep you scared all the time  the AI must be really good and unpredictable and create always new situations.Simple trial&error with pseudo AI where you only have to find out when to press where the right button won't keep you scared.

"the enemy AI is completely contextual, so if you show that you have skills with your gun, they'll actually back-off and either run away, or attempt to regroup and flank you. From what I played, this feature is the real deal too. They reacted quite differently in the two playthroughs."

What variety? What you have shown has been done before and oher games have had better vareity then TLOU. Even have many ways of approaching yoru destination has been done before, haveing multiple ways of tackling yoour opponents hav ebeen done before. Its not new and definelty not innovative as alot of people have been claiming. Its just liek any adeventure with some stealth elements. TLOU is like uncharted series where it specialies in everythign from different games but is master of none. Don't get me wrong i have played all of thir games. Its entertaining enough but not jaw dropping worthy as animation and graphics aren't everythign.

Not a big fan of QTE but can't judge it until I played it.

Ok then, enlighten me. What other games have such an intelligent  dynamic AI and animations like the ones i showed above? Variety comes from different encounters enemy AI will provide due to their dynamic intelligence
