I remember there was a time when people were really looking forward for R2, it looked promising at E3 fighting giant Goliath, but they messed it up big time by trying to ape call of duty controls.. They did make a commendable comeback with R3 but the dent done by R2 was too big for R3 to fill up.

If R2 was anything like what UC2 was to uncharted series.. then the Sony's dream of resistance being halo killer would have been fulfilled. But its good that they didn't do R4, now we can hope there will be a new IP for PS4.

P.S. I believe Order: 1886 is Insomniac's IP for PS4.

Yeah but then they changed their minds and *SPOILER* decided to conclude the series with a fucking 3 minute long slideshow and some radio messages about humanity rebuilding effectively killing a possibility of a direct sequel, FOR 3 FREAKING MINUTES OF SOME STUPID SHIT.

They simply showed the middle finger to the fanbase that cared about the storyline, because there still were so many possibilities how the series could have followed after the New York events. They also never picked a lot of very interesting things from the universum only mentioned in the Intels.

Overall how they managed the franchise was just terrible. I sincerely despise Ted Price CEO for his bussiness decisions: R2 to be a CoD clone, R&C series to go from 60fps to 30fps because critiques appreciate better graphics more, R3 ending, milking R&C with mediocre spin-offs, turning from Sony to EA to develop Fuse because they weren't happy with their games sales (ohh irony...)

Now I couldn't care less if they will be closed after Fuse inevitably flops, whether they will continue to develop for Sony and whatever else. Sony already worked with studios that proved they are more then viable to pick up a established franchise and develop a good sequel so I'm not afraid about Ratchet and Clank, they don't need Insomniac anymore.

a demo is out

Which is not the same as the game being out.

I'd like to think of it as a cartoon just to show people hope when in reality humanity are still living underground and still kind of fucked

 demo's are suppose repsent a small part of the final product if the demo sucks then chances are both the game will suck along with sells 

Again; this is not the same as the game being out. Saying that a game sucks before it is out is misleading, because unless you've played it early, you don't know if the game sucks or not. A demo can be misleading. It can also be a good guide. But saying "given how Fuse turned out" (implying that it turned out poorly) when the game is not yet out is dishonest. We don't know how the game turned out, because reviews aren't out, and the game isn't out.

Hopefully my god, it really pissed me off after such a good game that Resistance 3 was.

i want a resistance during the events of resistance one and two, but in the soviet union. This region fell first and was completely terraformed. These are the perfect scenario for a survival horror FPS, but open world a la Farcry 3.

The first resistance to me is still the best one.

So make an open world survival horror FPS with multiple factions and creative and lethal aliens, if not don't bother.
