Looks like there is Nintendo's money in Sega's pocket :D. Now they need to do this with EA, and they will be almost fine.

Because Yakuza 1 and 2 were EXCLUSIVE to PS2 which was stated by the developer, so I would think so would have a say in it some how. |
They were exclusive but not because Sony payed them; they were exclusive due to the lack of interest in developing for other consoles. So they were an exclusive by default, because making the game for other consoles would not guarantee profit. But now nintendo is paying them, so they have the motivation to make those games.
The funny thing is that nintendo is doing this so that if they sell great they can have a downgraded port of Yakuza 6, but it wont happen most probably because everyone that wanted to play this game already bought it for the PS3 in japan.
Buying 3 SEGA games, because you know, releasing them is an important part of the bussiness!!!!

Maybe the PS3, but a series that already doesn't sell well in the west, even on the PS3 where the rest of the series has been released, definitely isn't going to be shipped on the Wii U for it to sell even worse. After the poor sales of Dead Souls I'm assuming they're going to use that as an excuse to not release another in the serires. |
Do you remember Iwata saying that Nintendo will profit big this fiscal year? Well, for sure it won't sell a lot, but the few hundreths will be all fans that probably don'thave a Wii U, a system seller but not in enormous quantities.
That is actually a pretty significant grab, especially if Nintendo can secure one of the newer or original ones like they did with Monster Hunter.
That being said, it will probably be a digital release outside of Japan because I don't see Nintendo or Sega putting up the cash to bring it over for stores in the Western territories.

SEGA games sell EXTREMELY well on Nintendo's platforms (The Mario & Sonic games, SEGA All-Star Racing Transformed on the WiiU even outsold the PS3/Xbox360 version), if there is any 3rd party dev needing no additional incentive to bring games to Nintendo's consoles it is SEGA.

Thats exactly what EA wanted and didnt get. Its also the reason why they are so vengeful. ^^

And that is why yakuza 1,2 were available for the gamecube. And that is why they ported Yakuza 4,5 to the wii right?

Sigh...

Face it, SEGA sold more games on Nintendo platforms than on any other. Nintendo does not need to money-hat SEGA.
