You praised de xbox but the big news is Nintendo it has last now is first and in the future it will be last again.
The raise and fall of Nintendo again and again.
The ps3 already surpass the xbox 360 a wile ago, at least it was news, I think in fever, and Microsoft does not deny it.

The biggest thing to come from this gen? Easy. MS massively increasing market share, becoming a major player in the market and tripling install base gen over gen. 


You're right. PS3 and 360 sales comparisons are meaningless. All those PS3 vs 360 threads...none of that mattered. Good to know.

It will have no impact on anything that is happening. Maybe if this was 3 or 4 years ago sure. But everyone did well this generation on the next one.

Your more then welcome to discuss until November...that leaves you six months. My group partied for 7.5 years.....our booking ended, you can finish the party off. Its tots cool with us :)

But seriously, its less about talking about sales, but more about bragging about taking 2nd place. Two different things.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

But no...most of the stuff we consider "big news" never makes it to mainstream news. That's why I hate when people use phrases like "big news" since everyone has their own interpretation on what "big" means.

It's tough to say.  On one hand the PS3 has managed to sell better then their competition but on the other they haven't been able to do it in the single most important market and were only capable of doing it becuase one specifc country basically black listed the competting product .  They also have the financial side of the story that just doesn't play well at all. 

I guess if you wanted a headline you could write "PS3 accomplishes hollow victory of sales, but at what cost"?

Yes, I can see the announcement now: 

"The PS3 has caught up to second place, although it has only sold half of what it's predecessor did.  We have passed the Xbox 360, which has sold 3 times what it's predecessor did.  But hey, now the Microsoft Console is in 3rd places for this gen!  Neener Neener."

It about as empty a victory as you can get.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
