There is literally nothing wrong with Windows 8. Use it like Windows 7, but with some useful Metro apps occasionally (I basically just use Netflix and Skype). It just has much better keyboard shortcuts than 7

But personally, I just launch up Chrome and use it in the same way. Either click on the link on the start menu, type "windows button - chr - enter" (depending on what programmes you have installed) or click in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can also just press enter straight after getting to the start menu if you put the desktop link in the top left on the menu

Windows 8 has no negative effect on my productivity. If someone could actually explain what is wrong with Windows 8 then I would be very grateful. I don't understand the negative press

oh god don't even get me started on their skype app, fucking thing wanted me to link my skype account to my live account, I WOULD HAVE USED IT ALREADY IF THAT'S WHAT I WANTED YOU MOTHER FUCKERS(not you)! I downloaded the desktop version off the skype site anyways and uninstalled that app piece of shit so fast it's like "beam this shit the fuck out Scotty!"

Huh? I actually found that useful as I always forget my skype log in details. I use the metro version because then I can just snap it the side of a screen and deal with other things more easily

wanna know the problem with a unified account is? I shouldn't even need to tell you, I just hope you are not a networking security specialist, that, would be scary lol.

It is almost as if M$ owns Skype... Your live account is your M$ account, they are one and the same now

I would like to help you, but I am sorry I can't.

1) Delete Windows.
2) Install Ubuntu

my skype account is seperate from my live account, I have different uses for my live account :P. They can't force it like they did with hotmail because people used different e-mail addresses to sign up for skype, they'd be dumb to enforce it since they already fucked up so much shit already in the past year.

It's just they are the same company. For most people, it just removes redundancy, I don't want have to remember different passwords and user names for so many things

I know MS owns Skype now, it doesn't mean I want the same user name for everything, I have different accounts and passwords across different things so I can keep my anonymity to a pretty good extend :P Just don't ask me why I do it hehehe....
