I do love guessing....

Apparently, according to the new numbers, the PS3 had:

VGC Sold: 64.21m by March 2012
Shipped: 63.93m by March 2012

So it had sold 280,000 more consoles than they had made.

Its MAGIC!

Oh dear, oh dear...

also showing more sold than shipped for June 2012 and Sept 2012 based on confidently calculated numbers

Haha.  Yep I'd say that qualifies as strange.  Figured this was too good to be true.

So we need more adjustments to adjust the adjustments?

Interesting.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

What happened to Don Mattrick's line about outselling PS3 this generation?

He's going to say he was misquoted and that it was North America only.

It's just that simple.

I've been saying this all the time (adjustments or not) PS3 had taken over x360 eons ago and been celebrating since then!! (thanks to rrod)

Your saying the PS3 has overtaken the 360 thanks to the RROD? As in less units sold because of the RROD? The slim models are at what, a 3% failure rate if that? Not sure if serious.

It's just that simple.

Didn't even know of the further adjustments while I slept. So we are at 2-3 weeks before the PS3 overtakes.

You would have thought that people would have bought more 360's because of that.

Guess it depends on the person. If they owned a lot of games or want to play the same type of games from that system, why not? If they hardly used it? No of course not. I'd say a majority of the people would re-buy. But the real question was how many of those systems were re-buys.

PS3 had issues as well with the YLOD, though less prevelaint.

I own two 360s in the house (one for me, one for the wife) and we've bought 4 over time (re-sold a refurb from RROD, and the other was a upgrade to the slim).

GT5 has already got back down some. ioi said for everyone to calm down as it will take a while for the cached data to clear and propagate correctly.

Actuallly, if I think about it. After years of owning nintendo systems and having no problems with any of them, I think I would probably just not buy another 360 or PS3 if I had one of those two problems.

Guess it depends on how much you use that said system or how much you desire to just own everything.

Funny enough I've never had any problem with any Nintendo system ever. The original XBox was also a beast and I never had any issues with it till about two years ago where it would on and off read discs, but the laser/drive was pretty cheap to fix. I only had issues with Sega systems outside of the RROD: My dreamcast controller ports fried, sega saturn died via lightning (not really It's faultI suppose) and my game gear just stopped working. I ended up buying replacements for all of them since I used them a lot.

Controller ports no longer worked. I sold the system on eBay many, many, many years ago for about 30% of the systems value. I ended up buying a new system and never had further issues.

Apt got struck by lightining and my Saturn stopped working.

I've had some bad luck with Sega systems.

Now that I do recall, I had to replace my pin connector on the NES. But the system still worked how many years later? lol
