I don't expect GT5 to outsell GT4 actually.
Final GT4 shipment prediction: around 11'900'000
Final GT5 shipment prediction: around 11'800'000

GT4 still one more final shipment for 160'000 copies or several to the aforementioned total, GT5 probably with a good few hundred ks on shelves right now, still selling steadily due to the low price and at least one (announced iirc) bundle, falling short just north of 100k due to GT6 PS3 release cutting off its legs. GT5 would definately outsell GT4 if there would be no GT6 for the PS3.

Extra. I expect GT6 to considerably lagg behind in sales compared to the rest of GTs from home consoles - aprox.~ 7-8 million lifetime.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

I put 2015 but honestly I don't see it getting past GT4.

how is this "damaging" by the way?  what damage is being controlled?  do explain in detail please.


A lot of people don't know the difference between shipped and sold to retailers.  Likely the legacy bundle has been rather large to end GT5 before GT6.  It's best not to bring it up or you will have people getting on to you even though you are likely right.
