First time I've brought this up publicly i believe?

So you think this is a civil way of making these comments?  In both situations they showed aggravation or anger.  Say this on any other site and you are banned.  Say this to your boss or at work and you are fired.  Say this to a teacher etc you are in trouble.

Putting emphasis on something can be done without anger.

As I said I don't mind cursing, but there is a fine line on how you say these things and these are not joking around.

Are you my boss?  Are you my teacher?  And to say that any other site bans for cussing is a straight-up lie.  There are lots of forums where you can pretty much say anything you want.

Honestly, I have very little problem with the examples you've given.  Stop trying to change the way this forum works to fit with your own perception of how it should be.  Anyone has the right to be angry with you.  They just don't have the right to insult you directly.  The difference is pretty clear.

Respectable sites don't allow this kind of stuff.  All it does is make these sites look bad.

What's your definition of a "respectable" site? Let me guess....sites that don't allow cursing.

That's your opinion, which I happen to disagree with.  Personally, I'm not a big fan of censoring needlessly.  I prefer more freedom of expression over worrying about which words are "bad" and which are not.  I like the way the rule works here and I hope it stays that way.  I really don't want you picking out my words for me.

This complaint was never about censorship.  It is about flaming.  Cursing im fine with if used in the right context.  If you are cursing out of anger it is no loner civil which is my problem.  That is considered flaming.

Although I do not really agree with JayWood2010 on this topic, I can clearly see you missed his point entirely and what you are doing is borderline flaming & baiting.

Some people curse when they talk and they aren't trying to be aggressive or uncivil. I for one will curse a lot more now that I am sure it's ok here :)

Borderline flaming/trolling? Please tell me your joking. Tell me how my response counts as trolling or flaming. Unless you're exaggerating Jaywood's behavior for satire. In which case, well done.

That's not flaming. Cursing or using "bad" words, even with an angry mood, is not considered flaming. Insulting or attacking people is flaming. This is just another one of the countless examples of you complaining about a problem that doesn't really exist. Sometimes I think you just enjoy picking out the smallest, most insignificant things to cause drama.

i haven't seen much swearing around here to be honest

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

'When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called the people's stick'- Mikhail Bakunin

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Was the adult language directed directly at you? No? Then I dont see the issue. It's called emphasis and a completely normal rhetorical device. You surely act like a moralizer lately...

If the site gets you this much you may want to take a break. Something as trivial as this is not worth wasting your time/energy on...

While I would agree that it's preferable for people to express themselves without swearing, I also don't think it necessarily requires the mods' attention unless it becomes excessive or it's used as a direct insult (neither of which seem to be the case here in my opinion).

Lots of hostility in this thread though.......
