Forums - General - Air-Breathing Fish Invades New York

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

These are like the bunnies of the fish kingdom.

1 mating pair + 2 years = +150,000 offspring

Why would you even go through all the trouble to buy one? They are possibly the most disgusting looking fish I've ever seen.

Experts say that some entered the ecosystem by being released via aquarium owners.  But the main reason is the live food fish trade, which used them to establish a local food source.  Though some places like Boston/New York sell it as food, getting it live for food is illegal in most states.  Oddly enough its really easy to get online as well.

Most of the pictures that have been shared by the media are the absolutely ugliest pictures possible of the ugliest varieties. They're normally rather attractive-looking fish.

Before they were illegal, I worked at a pet store that sold them and they were easily the coolest, most badass predatory fish in the store (as compared to piranhas, oscars, and other cichlids).

Hm, that is pretty cool looking. Almost like mini-sharks!

Have to admit that is pretty cool looking actually.  Scared to death of the ocean but I love aquariums haha
