Would you be happy if the Vita received more enhanced ports from previous gens?

Yes 47 64.38%

No 26 35.62%

Total:73

At this point I'd be happy if it received anything.

As someone with a PC strong enough to run PCSX2 decently - please release new games, not remakes^^

I would be interested, Persona 4 is my next Vita game to play (that's right, I have a queue)

I also have several FF games on there and I would rather if they were enhanced versions. I am tempted by FFX HD on Vita, but at the same time, it is game that requires very extended sessions, maybe better for a home console. The ideal situation would be to get both and have cross play

I think the key is that they don't really need to do much work on them to port, certainly PS1 games are just fine. Of course, they can get a lot more money if they touch them up and add some trophies

You know, I bought my Vita on the back of 3 games I wanted to play - WipEout 2048; LittleBigPlanet & Gravity Rush. So basically, handheld versions of home console franchises + a new IP were what sold me on the console. And indeed, I'm still interested in these things for the future.

But actually, the prospect of having a handheld-sixth-generation-home-console has really grown on me ever since they announced the Jak Collection. Suddenly; the thought of having loads of my favourite PS2 games with me wherever I went just made me really giddy. We've already got Metal Gear & Persona; Jak is coming; Sly is rumoured; Final Fantasy is coming. There's even stuff like Oddworld which I never got to play due to having no Xbox last generation.

So yeah. For me, personally, ports (whether enhanced or not) would be something I'd very much like to see on Vita. Unfortunately, it's far from what Vita actually needs. But if Sony propped it up with a niche of their own HD Collections being ported alongside asking a few key third parties to bring their games across; then I'd be very happy with the console regardless of what happened in its future.

Yeah, but people like you don't count, lol, besides, I said with new content, just because you can run it on a PC doesn't mean you'll have new content... not to mention you can't play it while mobile... unless it's a laptop, then disregard that last part :P

I don't have time to play mobile anyways. I must have spent over 1000 hours on my NDS and 3DS by now and ~100 hours on my PSVita. I'd say I've spent around 96% of that time at home on my couch, another 3% at some other places in my flat and less than 1% actually mobile. Tis' a non-issue for me

I love HD collections. Having them on a handheld is even better, it's pretty amazing to know that I can take Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 3 with me on the go. I find it hard to get into newer games, so sometimes I find re-playing older games more enjoyable, and the trophies, HD and additional content is a huge plus.

Of course I'd prefer new games (and I'm sure Sony would too), but that doesn't mean they should stop releasing HD remasters. Keep 'em coming I say.

Then there's Persona 4: Golden...wow. I never played the original, but apparently even for those who did, the additional content is more than worth it. It's now one of my favourite games of all time.

of course
there are so many great old games worth to be played (again.)-and people like playing banjo and conqer remakes on xbox or zelda oot on 3ds and they will like windwaker on wii u-they'll also like gta3/vc/sa,shen mue, baldurs gate,XII or some resident evil remakes etc etc and I'm pretty sure noone would complain to play ff7 on vita.

jet set radio and strangers wrath look really great on vita and others games will also.
Should be a win win for everyone-easy and cheap to port, can be sold for a fair price and people always buy good games.

This. And there's always hope one of these remakes will be Final Fantasy VII... *roll eyes*

I like the idea of enhanced ports of ps2 games. Persona 4 Golden was awesome and the new content was significant. However, I want them released during the slow periods where no new games are released. This is similar to what Nintendo is doing with windwaker. They are still making games for the system, but in the mean time they release an enhanced port of a game that a lot of people would enjoy. This is the strategy Sony should follow.

Nope. New Vita games. I hardly touched remakes on it. I've been playing Soul Sacrifice everyday since I got it.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS
