if they bought it, neat, I guess
but it'd be really cool if they bought splatterhouse from Namco, seriously the nature of splatter house would make using the wii remote to attack would be extremely satisfying

I'd like to see a Dead Rising-style game, though I'm not sure if the Wii is powerful enough to handle so many enemies and so many weapons onscreen at once...

nintendo is evolving, they are learning from the past, and seems that they already start investing the tons of money they are making... How much for square?

To clarify Nintendo didn't buy the the FF IP. They might have some copyrights with FF4 though. The GAF user that broke the news retracted his or her statement.

When they bought retro they scrapped all their ips so they could have them make metroid.

Nintendo also owns part of camelot but it dosen't own wii love golf.

Nintendo would rather have a company make games based on their fanchises than use theirs (the developers ips).

Anyway its still weird that nintedo went for only the ip. If its true of course.

Maybe they should buy the rights for KH 3 or Dragon Quest X next to appear on the Wii. There's aren't too many good studios on the brink of bankruptcy that we know about so buying IPs is the next best thing

Retro's IPs got scrapped because theyweren't very good.
