They decided to go the Pokemon way and have two versions of the game, to have more sales, so yeah there are two versions of Yokai Watch 2.
COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).
-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst

Ok, my question is are they doing it just like pokemon? I mean exclusive monsters, items, etc? Or can this game just be one version like the original?

Could Yokai Watch possibly be the "next" Pokemon? We should all remember that Pokemon didn't start off as a megaton, rather a slow and steady seller (Yokai Watch) until Gold/Silver came around and opened very well. (Possibly YW2?)
Although we should also remember that Level-5 doesn't know how to handle anything that gets big. They will most likely screw this series up somehow, much like with Layton.

It can certainly get Layton-big if not bigger due to being aimed at children.
But if they turn it into a yearly franchise, I can't see it getting anywhere near Pokemon, and it'll likely start dying off after a few years too.
Props to them though, other companies (Square Enix/Capcom) aren't capable of making this level of child-friendly cross media franchise successful.

This is what will most likely happen. Level-5 seems to see the green and not be able to control themselves.

when Yokai Watch 2 comes out it wont even be a year from the original.... Level 5 will make a lot of money with the next couple years intill the effect wears off

I would not say that they screwed over Layton. Layton would have done horribly either way now if we look at the likes of Nintendogs and Brain Age. It appealed to the same demographic and Level-5 saw the opportunity, so they milked it as far as it would have lived on either way. What I'm surpsised over is that they haven't done it with Fantasy Life.

That wasn't how I was using Layton as an example, though :P
I mentioned Layton to suggest that Youkai Watch could go after similar, if not bigger numbers.
Layton does embody the fact that their yearly releases slowly erodes the fanbase, but if you believe that was just due to market circumstances then I'd also put forward Inazuma 11 & Little Battlers as further examples.
