Yes, and Yakuza is a front-loaded series on a Sony console.  Mario Kart is a legs series on a Nintendo console.

And my point was that these games have just been put up available for pre-order.  Yakuza didn't show up straight away after being listed, it took a while.

we are talking about the biggest game this year and 20 points or so. it is possible, but i dont think so. the people who buy mk8 dont have a wii u atm...

Tomb Raider 360 WW is less than double the best selling Yakuza game in Japan, and less than triple any of the numbered original releases.  Tomb Raider: DE was also one game for full retail price.  Yakuza 1&2 was two games (obviously).  Price wise it was a mixed bag, it was signficantly cheaper than a new Yakuza game (8,800 yen for Y5, 5,229 for Y1&2) but it was the same price as the PS3 release.

It is also closer to 26x higher sales for Tomb Raider based on Dengeki numbers (didn't make the top 50 in Media Create or Dengeki, bottom of charts was 1,878.  It could theoretically be 50x higher sales for Tomb Raider for all we know.  I don't see how you can say it is a matter of the franchise's size with those numbers.  Tomb Raider 360 isn't 26x+ Yakuza sales in Japan.

but was yakuza number 1 on amazon for 3 days as soon as it was available? and like someone said, it would only take around 20 points.

You mean the remake of one of the most aclaimed games of all time? the one with lot's of advertising behind it?

JUST ADMIT that the performance of a late rererelease means nothing to say if there's an audience or not.

Most moderately-to-large-sized-games shoot to the top of amazon.jp and sit there for a while once they're put up for pre-order, yes.
