Pokemon is such a massive flop, even casual switch players will avoid Pokemon Let's Go.

Zelda BOTW = Best selling 3d zelda game
Splatoon 2 = best selling splatoon game
Mario Odyssey = 100% will be the best selling 3d mario game
Xenoblade 2 = best selling monolith soft game
Mario Tennis Ace = 100% will be the best selling mario tennis game
Kirby star allies = will end up at no.2 behind Kirby's dreamland
Mario Kart 8 deluxe = will surpass Mario Kart 7 and probably Mario Kart DS as well.

Somehow, PKMLG is going to be a contender for the worst performing core series.

I don't think they are aiming to break records tbh.

I disagree. LG shipments i think were supposedly to match SM. At least in France

And sun and Moon didn't break records(at least not the kind the original comment is referring to). And I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the 600k day one shipments has been lowered 

This game was never going to break records anyway.  It has been shown time and time and time and time again that millions of Pokémon fans straight up do not care about non-new gen Pokémon games.  And third versions/non-new gen sequels do even worse.  I have had my prediction at 5 to 10 mil life time, same range as those sequels/third versions and I remain confident in that.  

As for how it will in the launch window, it will do fine.  

The Pokémon game to watch out for with regards to possibly breaking records comes out next year.  And that was always the case.

Im willing to bet that lets go will be one of the most succesfull pokemon games ever.

Both GE3 and JE didn't move. Darn.
