Are you saying that the Switch doesn't have games capable of selling millions in the West? Lol. 

If graphics matter so much then why are games like Minecraft and PUBG a thing?

To make one thing straight: I prefer Nintendos consoles more than Sonys and Microsoft. Still I try to see this from the POV of Capcom:

They tried on different systems to be successful with Monster Hunter in the west. They had ok sells but for sure not that what they were aiming for. So this is now a different approach. They are putting it on the graphical best systems in the west (PS4, XB1 and PC) and see if this will help the series to be more successful in that area.

In my opinion this trade off away from a handheld system is odd and risky but I do understand their approach.

Yeah I made a thread asking which will sell more Dq11, monster Hunter world and another game. It was probably ff7 remastered. A lot of people gave monster Hunter no chance vs Dq11 ps version. 

36 on a monday is great, MHW can do 1500+ if it can maintain 30 on average for the rest of the days

Mario and Rabbids is also doing well for itself, looks like a fun way to get into xcom style turn based strategy

The thing is PS4 games don't have a big longevity in Japan because of average sales so MH will probably fall down the charts quickly unlike the 3DS titles that sold well every week with the huge amount of new consumer.

A beast day too equalling its highest ever day. That's why I said don't judge the stream effect just on the day after. Not everybody will rush to the store the day after.
