Blazblue seeming to do extremely well.  Sonic on the other hand now more than ever seems like a lost cause in Japan.

Sonic was never going to sell good in Japan, Wii Party is the focus now and I have quite the expectations of it as of now. I can see it surprise some people.
On another note, God Eater 2 will sell good to say the least.
LBXW will have a 1st week of around 50k I believe and will have Level-5 legs, Azran managed to sell 260k from an opening of around 100k, but I'm not good on LBX.

Or FFIV - FFVI, especially if it doesn't have the words Final and Fantasy in the title.

Or just make a brand new FF, you know this kind of philosophy that works so well for the franchise during the NES/SNES/PS/PS2 era.

IMO, it may stop the falling trend. After a week with only Fifa 14 and other week with a not so strong baseball game available in PS3 and PSP too, Gundam Break (with a bundle) and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth should be a much better line-up.

However, they are either ports or remakes, so I don't expect them to provide a boost on hardware sales since these games should be only enough to halt the drop after the new model to the "baseline" numbers.

Sonic is so dead in Japan. I think its going to slop all around the board though, should have decent legs in the USA though.
