Splatoon dont need a direct but the direct will really helps,I feel that Nintendo and fans are all waiting for a miracle that the Splatoon will sale even more than switch hardware. That's really crazy but it feels like is possible，this month will be really interesting.

I wouldn't act happy about Dragon Quest performance or attach words like amazing or great to it. The combined numbers in COMG indicates much lower first week sales than other mainline games on the franchise even though it is on multiple platforms this time. Please remember that we're talking about the biggest franchise in Japan or the second biggest.

I'd be very disappointed in anything less than 2 million copies in the first week.

Despite the direct ps4 version of DQ11 still #1 on amazon. And it's further from release too. Splatoon should be overtaking it soon though as we're closer to release.

Nowadays,how many titles may hit over 2 millions copies first week in Japan?  I personally dont expect that.

It would definitely be underwhelming for the massive 3DS install base. The caveat being 3DS is finally aging in Japan.

But for the PS4 it is looking like it will be PS4's biggest game, so business as usual for DQXI.

So I do not really have super high expectations for it when it is already doing quite well on at least one platform.
