It is possible, but Ruby/Sapphire and Black/White are bigger than Sun/Moon. The 3ds being at the end of its life vs the success of Switch should also be factored in.

monster hunter world will be ps4's third million seller and i wouldn't be suprised one bit if it were to outsell dragon quest xi

Y'all need to remember that X and Y never got an expansion. It'll be hard to say how well US/UM will do, but I do believe that 2 million are close to guaranteed.

Monster Hunter XX on 3DS might be at around 1.8 million with digital sales included. Pokemon has two expansions and will release during the busiest period of the year as usual. They'll be fine.
