Funny that till a few days ago, mentioning Amazon.jp was to be clutching at straws.
Danganrompa will do around 3k this week, but it is still rovering around 30th place on Amazon. Super Mario 3D World is around 20th, so 5k copies/week for 4 or 5 weeks. So much for TEH Wii U SAVER!
(I believe SM3DW will sell between 200k and 300k in the first week based on NSMBU and Pikmin 3 performances, but this "look at Amazon charts!" must stop.)

Needs to start climbing into the top 20 though. It's doing alright, but it's behind some pretty slow-moving games at the moment (i.e. GT6; FFX HD).
I can see we are being assaulted by amazon rankings today though, so I shall leave it.
OT: Assassin's Creed? Boo. I don't know why, but I never really enjoy having western games in the COMG chart. Bleh.

I'm all for it. Helps keep those who claim the country is racist in its buying habits.

I think it doesn't help that the majority of western games that do show up are yearly releases like Assassin's Creed/Call of Duty/Battlefield which fill the USA/EU charts all year round.
I suppose the same can be said about things like Miku/Monster Hunter/Atelier showing up in COMG every year, but it feels kinda different.

But it's not. Those games get sequels because they're popular. It's only natural that they'd show up here too. You can have the same complaint about the Western market which largely holds true as the most preordered games are never new IPs.

But... that's the complaint I was making in that post :P
I do have a problem with it. I have very little interest in following western sales numbers because of it.
COMG, although somewhat predictable, still provides a lot more surprises here and there.
