both Pokémon SuMo started pre Orders with 127 days left. Monster Hunter is at 154 Points after 2 weeks of pre Orders, Pokémon got 157 Points in ONE DAY.

So far, so true.

However, it seems to me like Monster Hunter XX is gaining consitently more points on a daily basis early on than pokemon did and doesn't seem to slow down much unlike Pokemon did after the first few days. While there is quite some gap to close I don't think Monster Hunter XX will be far behind in the end

Seems like a pretty decent sell-through though of course it depends on shipment. A 1m first shipment would make sense since 600k in 3 days is in line with expectations.

Was going to say this. I can see around 900k being shipped if i had to guess and it still has tomorrow and the weekend. So about 75% sell thru fw. Maybe 750k is possible? Or at least 700k. I think yso predicted lower.

Yeah a 75% sell-through first week (however many copies were shipped) would at least mean it isn't overshipped. Probably 70% too.

At this point I think 700k FW at retail is more likely with 50-100k digital which we won't have unless Famitsu specifically shares next week. Otherwise we'll only have first month digital sales.

Not sure why people on GAF are saying that it won't sell its first shipment lol It's 60% first day (well first 3 days but before the weekend) not 60% first week. Explain yourself Vena.

Haha don't mind gaf they're always super negative about ps4 in Japan. They want it to crash and burn so they can continue being negative about it.

All you here is them making fun of Asia sales and digital, but on ps4 both of these are actually factors. Japanese games doing very well in Asia on Playstation this gen and digital is always a respectable factor.

Final Fantasy released on Monday, and it was an important day for Square Enix. Most stores had big ads of the game, both inside and outside. Luna Edition was very popular, as well. However, it seems there should be lots of units out there. The game is very frontloaded and, in my opinion, it probably might be difficult to sell the first shipment.




Entering Christmas means Nintendo software and at Santy the season is mainly focused on first party titles (New Leaf with amiibo is sold-out), but also on third party software as Sumikko, Monster Hunter or Dragon Ball. There were released another wave of amiibo, this time Zelda-themed.


Sony, though, with the release of Final Fantasy has such a good line-up. Yakuza is very advertised, and there are campaigns with great discounts at TSUTAYA.
