Sadly the slim announcements have had an effect. But positively they'll improve the games ratio. Which is all that matters.

It's pretty incredible how well the limited edition of Persona 5 is doing considering the high price ($135 USD). In terms of revenue the game will be even better than Persona 4 since the latter didn't receive a nationwide limited edition (but there was a limited edition at Konamistyle for ¥9,200). Also the regular edition of Persona 5 (¥7,800) is priced higher than Persona 4 (¥6,600). It wouldn't even need to outsell Persona 4 to gross much more. Though I would assume the budget for Persona 5 is much higher.

P5 will outsell P4, even if doesn't beat it on COMG.

Of course it will lol but I mean that it wouldn't need to sell more units to gross much more.

Even though, you're right and Atlus will have a great revenue, we need to take into account higher taxes than when Persona 4 was released.

Isn't there only a 3% increase since Persona 4?

Yeah, it's not that much, but it's something to be aware. It's amazing despite that, Persona 5 could outsell Persona 4.

Yay! Go Pokemon and MHS!

Also factor in that digital sales are more profitable and it didn't have them back then.

Hoped more for persona, but still o.k.

Gooo Persona 5!!! I want you to sell 350k+ first week!!!
