sure why not? Gamestops does it sometimes. Ex: They have 20 pre orders, they check if they can take more. 5 people pre orders come in one day, they deny the 6th cuz they arent sure if they can hold anymore, then next day they are allowed another 5. Also to help out my statement, did you notice X + Y keep on passing each other every 3-4 days? I mean X was clearly the favorite of the two in japan like how Y is here (ask anybody here getting pokemon, 75% are getting Y). It was clearly winning by a big amount at first but then Y caught up.

Edit: Before you ask how i kno about gamestop doing that, i pre ordered Pokemon XY 3DS XL, i called 5 days in a row. The first 2 days sold out, 3rd day said they take more pre orders, i went at night, couldnt get one cuz pre orders filled up. Went friday to pick up something and i could pre order which i did (same exact gamestop).

I don't believe they would be doing that on a daily basis. Still, I don't know, either, I was just wondering if you were guessing or if you knew something for sure.
