You are reading them correctly. :P
For clarification:

I wonder what's happening to Pokemon on all fronts, US and JP. Numbers are really lower than last gen while the hype is much greater. Just install base issues? Digital?
Or is it something else...hmmm.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Nintendo struggling to meet demand for their first ever simultaneous global Pokémon release.

Dat don't mean pre-orders should stop though. Retail here still takes em and if I'm not mistaken, so does COMG. (I know Amazon doesn't though)

Digital could also be playing a part (not huge tho).
I know lots of peeps that are digital downloading X or Y (me included).
Tho I think the biggest factor is going to be install base in Japan:
32.8 million DS (on Sept 17, 2011 the day before launch)
vs.
12.2 million 3DS (as of August 25, 2013)
For having about 1/3 the install base, its doing quite good

COMG pre-orders have been observed slowing, stopping, and decreasing in situations when demand exceeds the initial shipment -- and they have been observed being 'boosted' by an increased shipment.

Wonder if we will see an increase for Pokemon after today. I'm not worried about it, ofcourse.
