what is next for nintendo after pokemon? smash? zelda? x?

Nintendo has a policy of playing close to the chest.  They rarely announce games more than a year or 18 months out (Zelda being the one IP they'll consistantly admit to working on years in advance).  TGS, the annual January investor report and E3 will give us the big details on titles after those you mentioned (plus Mario Kart 8).

oh yeah mk8 too...

it just doesnt look good if all of it is just sony... theres got to be at least one nintendo there...

You mean the charts?

Like I was telling Pezus, Sony gamers have a culture that has a greter prediliction for pre-ordering a game than do Nintendo gamers.  That's just the way it goes.

Well by the time Pokémon is coming out, Zelda: Link Between Worlds could conceivably be on the chart.

There's nothing much to say.  Green is great and all; but it's games that I expect to perform extremely well performing well.  Need something obscure doing better-than-average to get me excited.

The type of demographic that this appeals to would have most definitely played (or at least heard of!) Xenogears or Xenosaga before....

Eh I haven't. I actually found out through research afterwards.

You were also pretty young when those games came out 12 years ago. I assume that most JRPG are more likely in their last 20s, early 30s then the 18 on your profile.

Or the people that didn't had a PS1 back then, like me. Although I just realize that being close to become 26 makes you in the second part of the 20s, O.o I'm getting old. Nah, still mid 20s :)

It's usually an assumption since PS1 had all of the RPGs, so you'd assume the fans of the genre would game on the platform where they existed. That's all.

(and I'd lump you in that bracket )

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Perhaps, but still! You were one of the people against the whole "no meat in a retag" in the past, Kressy! Post a GIF or a funny picture or something, because anything is better than a one-word reply.

This cat is begging for some more excitement in the chart.
