FE: If is some weird abomination of a dual release, both aren't similar enough to be combined like Pokémon, yet they aren't different enough to be separated like the GBC Zelda games.
I'm really interested on how Famitsu takes it.
And it really is not a similar situation as Weegee U.

They sound very much the same amount different as the Zelda Oracle games. And it's a similar situation to NSMBU/NSLU because the latter could be bought individually or as DLC for the former, the same way either FE:If can be bought individually or as DLC for the other.

Its kinda different from all those examples actually. Especially when Most Likely the West will have it combined, and then What? :p
I do get your points though, Its its own thing however. Unlike NSMBU which is strictly DLC which is actually like the "Third Story DLC" not shown but is actually apart of the Special Edition set.
Its not like LoZ Oracle(s) games because this game is actually bought with the other, as a Digital Sale.
This isnt like anything we seen before Technically. Its not wrong or right to count them together/seperate. The best thing its similar too ironically is 3DS+N3DS imo (but wth digital!!!)

Sure it's "kinda" different, there's no identical situation to the way FE:If is being handled. As for what happens if they are combined in the West, that should simply be tracked as a separate SKU. If we're talking about how VGChartz handles it, that really doesn't matter. Honestly they don't seem too worried about little things like that, considering the state of software tracking here.
NSLU is not "strictly DLC." It can be purchased and played independently of NSMBU. For all intents and purposes, it is a separate game which is available at a discount as DLC.
I don't see how this is comparable to the 3DS hardware situation, especially since you disqualified the Oracle games on the grounds that those were not sold as a single package, nor one as an add-on for the other. Since when are the 3DS and N3DS available as a bundle, or as an expansion for the other model?
The Oracles are the perfect example. They were developed simultaneously and shared loads of assets. They had almost completely different content, but nevertheless shared some similar scenarios (such as the Goron/Subrosia dance minigames and the Great Moblin Boss) and gameplay. They even tell the same kind of mutually-exclusive story as FE:If, since playing either unlinked tells the story as though it took place before the other.

Slow down there, Senator Clay.
