JRPGs are frontloaded because they appeal to a narrow audience that is more likely to buy games at launch. This compounds with the used game market as used copies appear within a week or two and kill whatever legs it could have.

Im definitely hoping for a 100k+ opening, that YSO prediction making me a little worried, they are pretty good at predictions, but im still hoping that this will be majorly wrong like they did MM 3D + ORAS (oh Remakes lol)
