It was surprising to see it get as many numbers as it did so far away from release. I imagine there will be a week or two where it just has 1 or no preorders at all.

I know they'd prefer digital sales, because manufacturing all of those cartridges is super expensive. Consumers in Japan would definitely prefer physical copies though. It's one of those tough love things from Capcom.

They will very likely release the game as a Download Card, which probably COMG won't count. That worked extremely well for Animal Crossing.
