HW will Probably end up around 1.2mil-1.6mil Lifetime, it depends on the west.

DQ depends if there are legs, i say 800k-850k in japan and west it depends. Its exclusive to ps4.

anywayz for Musou games, they did extremely well but of course had brand power non the less. Looks like HW will win, but its still early. All i know is many underestimated HW in the West and overestimate DQ in Japan!

Oh well I still think Dragon Quest will win worldwide although Hyrule Warriors did much better than expected in the West. Dragon Quest could do very well in the West too.

DQ can still win. It's not that much of a strecth at all.

I know^ It depends on legs in japan and how it does in the west. I never said it was guaranteed :)

TBF, i think when people made those predictions, they didn't expect HW to do so well. Still funny though XD

HW will do another 150k-200k at least lifetime (so 1.15mil-1.2mil). Looks like Temco hit the jackpot with these games, i wonder what'll they do next for a spin off :0

We'll see, like i pointed out in that prediction thread, DQ isnt as big in the west. With only a few exceptions DQ games of course. Like i said to Out, its not impossible. Still plenty of time^

Not sure when the thread was psoted (and since you refuse to link it), but keep in mind that a lot of people thought Hyrule Warriors would easily clear 1 million. In fact, most people who predicted HW low were primarily Nintendo fans.

That lot of people are just like 5-8 crazy optimistic nintendo fans on vgc (yes i count as 3 of those). When Tecmo said they wanted (not expected) 1mil from HW back in March/Apr last year, MANY, MANY, MANY people thought they were crazy/over optimistic/etc. I could at least show you the link for gaf reaction to tht. Its a good read :p

That said, i think expectations were alot lower than 1mil thanks to SM3DW early performance as well as DK when comparing to HW!

But Dynasty Warriors games easily sell 250k+ in NA so that's the very lowest DQH will do.

Honestly I'm expecting Dragon Quest: Heroes to sell as much in the West as it will sell in Japan.

I think 1.5m lifetime is a lock.
