Seeing those numbers for Smash Bros on 3DS really makes me wonder how the Wii U version will do once it gets a solid release date.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

Because there is an emphasis on graphics by large studios. Capcom, Square, Sony, Konami, and Nintendo all push the boundaries of whatever platform their releasing on. They wouldn't do if no one cared about it, let's no mention the advertising of the new and enhanced visuals. There is great appreciation of games regardless of graphics, but let's not pretend people don't care about them.

Caring less doesn't equal the bolded above.
