I'd like to pre-empt such accusations by saying that I've never played, much less hated on, a Musou game before. But I've been told that 5, 6, and to a lesser extent 7 were relatively weak entries. So someone criticizing the series might be basing their opinion off the most recent four games, in which case they would be at least partly justified, no?

Meh, its down to opinion. General consensus is 3 and 4 were great. 5 was just a 3rd game in the generation but still wasnt bad. 6 was terrible imo, and 7 was great again. No comment on 8 though.

8 is dynasty warriors back to form, my only wish is they would get rid of weapon swapping, I'm not a fan of it.

Pre-Order chart tends to mean nothing because most of the games that come out barely make a few thousands these days in Japan unless it's truely good. Still seems to be favoring the Nintendo 3DS too. I wonder why lol

Well, stuff like Oreshika is spread across multiple SKU's but we've seen both of them show up on the chart at the moment (as the bar for entry is extremely low).  And the LE SKU has been in the chart for quite some time.

Having more than one SKU is definitely hurting Zelda Musou, but still, it is a bit odd that it still hasn't shown up.

Maybe it's just going to perform like most Nintendo games and just not have a large amount of pre-orders (due to stuff like COMG not owning many WiiU's yet/Nintendo games normally getting massive shipments so there's no need to worry about stock).

Yeah so do I, I just equip two versions of the same weapon. I would rather character swapping like orochi warriors than weapon swapping.
