If a person tells you the DS or 3DS are casual systems, you know you are dealing with a casual/hardcore fanboy or fangirl.

Their opinions should be ignored because ignorance is like a virus and can spread if you let it touch you.

I don't care if anyone considers it casual or not, but the 3DS is as hardcore friendly as they come. It's just such a great system with a really good library with mostly great games that keeps getting better.

According to the community at n4g, the 3ds it is a kiddy console because it has no blood and mature story.. Fuck you n4g

i have to build up links to my website so i have to use n4g. I write positive and neutral stuff about nintendo, but i get discouraged by all the fanboy hate and the pure ignorance of thecommunity. :(

To give a semi-serious reply:

I have noticed that my 3DS library naturally grows with more games geared to the 'hardcore' than my DS ever did. The consoles look similar, but they're extremely different! It's fascinating actually. I like the 3DS's path way better too .

But the Wii U is not a casual system.  It would have to sell better in order to be one.
