Forums - Gaming - What gaming company gives you a bitter after taste?

I have bitterness on...

Sony 84 22.22%

Microsoft 72 19.05%

Nintendo 19 5.03%

Activision 26 6.88%

Rockstar 6 1.59%

EA 113 29.89%

Capcom 22 5.82%

Blizzard 4 1.06%

Naughty Dog 4 1.06%

Others... 28 7.41%

Total:378

Activision/infinity ward/treyarch. COD4 is one of my favourite games ever, because of both it's amazing campaign and amazing multiplayer. Now it's a soulless franchise that only offers me mediocre campaigns and over the top ADD multiplayer... zombies is the only thing that appeals to me in it anymore.

By the way, there were only three exclusive games from Sony for the ps3 in 2012, and all of them were second-party. What's your point?

Book of Spells, LBP Karting, MLB 12 The Show, Ratchet and Clank FFA, Star Hawk, Sorcery, Sports Champion 2, Tokyo Jungle, Twisted Metal, and Playstation All Stars.

SuperBot "was" first party at the time as Sony is the one that created the studio and broke off with them allowed them to go third party after ruining PSASBR, and as of right now Seth is working on PSASBR content and he's with Sony Santa Monica.

Eat, Sleep, Play, United Front Games, and Insomniac are the only ones that were second party, and the games they worked on are all Sony exclusive and were funded by Sony.  So nine games, three of them second party.  That's not including the PSN games they published for the PS3.

Didn't know about Tokyo Jungle. (And I didn't know the existence of LBP Karting and MLB 12) I have messed up with the release dates.

I apologize for saying that there were only three games, then. But in my defense, I have to say that if you're including Book of Spells, and Sorcery (After all, they're exclusives, my bad!), Microsoft had waaay more than 3-4 games in 2012, and way even more if you do include PSN games (XBLA was pretty solid that year).

In fact 2013 is the worst year regarding Xbox 360 exclusives. But all my other points stands, no FPS focusing, and there are games in this console. Nem just has a passionate hate against this console and its company, but don't have facts.

poll forging at its finest.

Either Sony, for (most of their games) being utterly dull in my opinion. Or Activision for being greedy as heck with their DLC and overall "make game, make money. make same game, make more money!" attitude. (What I'm trying to say there is that they just keep sending out a game that really does nothing new and then they go and continuously make money on it without making it any better or even looking as if they tried to.)

Over all, though, I don't despise any company no matter how much I don't like their business decisions or games.

Edit: Oh, I also don't "like" Sony for practically throwing away their glory days. I seem to remember them having really great first-party games back in the PS2 days, but where did that all go? It seems they saw the trend in gaming and stuck with it. (The trend with the 7th generation, that is.)

As much as I liked the PS3 over the Wii and 360 this gen I have to agree. I could not get into most of Sony's first party games, they looked good and I genuinely think that for the most part they are well made games but something just always felt wrong.

Anyways lately I have been a bit bitter with Blizzard because of Starcraft 2 and the whole Diablo 3 thing.

None that I really "hate". More like disappointment.

EA games are just as soul-less as Activision. It's funny that EA had such a problem with Activision cashing in on Call of Duty, but now they are no better and attempt to do it implicitly.

I used to be a big Capcom fan (I used to like them primarily for Megaman and Resident Evil). Now Megaman is not what it used to be, and don't get me started on Resident Evil.

I've never been a big Ubisoft fan but observing what they've done to AC franchise (I only played the first one, and 2 gave the franchise huge potential) is enough to say that Ubi has grown a bone similar to the other guys. The Rayman Incident was slap to the face to Nintendo and it's fans. (In particular the delay, not going to multiplatform status)

SCE for allowing LittleBigPlanet Karting to happen.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

EA. I feel dirty if I buy a new game from them. I buy their games used whenever possible.

Then you don't have the right to bitch about a studio getting shut down when several games they develop in a row fails to produce a profit.  You and others like you are part of the problem, especially since there's a good chance that you "may" have less of a reason to dislike EA than those of us who actually grew up with and played some of the major franchises that are no longer available, most which are exclusively PC.

If a studio produces several mediocre games in a row, they deserve to get shut down. I buy games that are worth their value, and if that means buying used then so be it. EA have given almost everyone a right to hate them, so why should gamers have to put up with their shit?

I voted EA. The amount of talented studios they bought and subsequently closed makes me sad...

EA sadly i keep telling myself i am done with this company but sadly i will get ME4 day 1
