Forums - Gaming - Fuse demo out next week

Gaming Everything

Players will be able to get a taste of Fuse next week when EA launches a demo on digital platforms.

The demo will launch for both the PlayStation 3 (via PSN) and Xbox 360 (via Xbox Live) on May 7. Four-player online co-op will be offered, as will 2-player split-screen.

Gamers can expect the following:

In the demo, players will take on the role of four elite operatives – Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble and Naya Deveraux. These special agents are out to protect mankind from Fuse, a deadly alien energy source which has been stolen by the rogue paramilitary organization, Raven. Each of the characters delivers a unique gameplay experience, as they have their own individual and unique “Xenotech” weapon and specialized skills. Players will use these abilities as they track down the Fuse source in a snowy secret weapon depot.

It looks similar to Borderlands 2. I'm gonna give the game a shot, but I just with that Insomniac would focus more on making great R&C games again.

Looking forward to trying the demo. This will be the first Insomniac game I've played since Rachet and Clank on ps2.

that would be a great feature considering the game itself is focused around Co-Op and the number of playable characters are 4. but i wouldnt have been insteresterd much as my me and my brothers are just 3. and they dont really like third person shooters. i barely played uncharted 3 online with anybody

Ya I honestly don't think this is going to sell well at all either. I guess they can go back to sony and make some ratchet games or some new ip for ps4.

When or if this game bombs. We will have a important question to ask. Will it be the failure of the developer or the failure of the publisher. I will be honest in that I was mildly interested in the title. Until I remembered who was going to be publishing the game. I don't want to give any money to Electronic Arts. They have fucked me over in the past, fucked over my friends, and are a plague upon the greater gaming community. In other words the only way they are going to get my money again is by prying it from my cold dead fingers.

Insomniac and there game may be collateral damage in a boycott intended to harm Electronic Arts for all of its own past wrong doings. This game may not sell, because people are still grinding a axe about Mass Effect 3, day one expansions, Sim City, or any other number of other asshole moves that Electronic Arts pulled on customers. So I have to ask who here thinks that those factors wont adversely effect the sales of this game. Whether it is good or not.
