I still have some mods I need to make. I made it so the control panel is removable, so I want to build a driving set of controls, and I would like to add 2 light guns as well. But those things can wait.

So where would you go to get the plans printed?

This site has the same plans that I used, except I used a modification that cut the bottom in for leg room and I had to change the control panel cuts to work the way I wanted

You don't need to print them on a 1:1 scale, printing them on regular A4 sheets of paper where you can read the numbers and measure the angles should be enough.

To me it's fine, but then I did build model kits when I was a kid and I had to make plans like those when I studied my career, .

My only problem are the measures, the metric system is better and clearer!

Get what's called a T-square.  It makes measuring things and getting straight right angles VERY easy.

What kind of screen/resolution did you put ?

Standard CRT television as I was going for an authentic look for the era (80s-90s). Advancemame supports native resolution for all the games, but the TV has a more limited range, so it varies

Good job man! I've always wanted my own arcade cabinet so I'm very jealous! Hopefully once I finally get my own place, I'll be able to have a room where I can have my own cabinet. I kinda want a NAOMI or JAMMA cabinet rather than MAME though, even though MAME would give me the best of both worlds lol.



RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
