Still will never understand the GTAIV hate. Especially when one turns around and says he loves RDR o.O
This looks like a nice improvement over GTAIV.

There's always that one fucked up character in Rockstar games

Well thats just my opinion, seeing as I loved every GTA until IV and then got into RDR(and L.A.Noire) and loved that I think the point stands. RDR is in my opinion a better executed game than IV and will always be so. You may not agree but this is my opinion you may disagree if you want to :)

I know it's just your opinion. I still won't ever understand it ;o. To me, RDR and GTAIV are basically based around the same exact ideas except the time period and characters are different. RDR did expand a bit on GTAIV's ideas, sure, but it ultimately uses very similar systems as GTAIV.

Storytelling and gameplay is a lot better in RDR than GTA IV. John Marston's vs Niko Bellick's story is a clear win for John
and for me who likes story more than anything else in open world games it stood out in comparison with IV

In what way did RDR not stand out? One of the best games I have ever played, maybe it didn't have the crazy fun of VC, SA etc, but the story was fantastic, the graphics also fantastic and the gameplay just felt fantastic. Who doesn't love being a cowboy

Anyway, this game is looking extremely positive. The grapics look impressive and the 3 protagonist format looks like it will be a winner. These trailers really did make it seem like all these characters are going to be interesting and add the grittiness and characters from IV to the insanity of the older games. It looks like Trevor is going to give us those mad moments and Micheal the more "mature" parts of the games, albeit with his son seeming like comic relief

I feel less strong about Franklin. I do like the green of the Grove Street crew returning though, but I am looking forward to Trevor and Micheal more.

The trailers of the game have brough back everything good from SA. The wide open green spaces, the massively varied gameplay, dirt bikes, helicopters, planes!!!!!!!!! Everything seems really exciting and the story seems great. Maybe R* are just really good at marketing (they definitely are) but this seems to be ticking every box apart from multiple cities. Every issue I had about IV seems to be being addressed (though they covered many of those in EFLC)

As for the next gen rumours, I am planning on waiting for the next gen versions of AC and Watch Dogs (assuming PS4 comes out this year in Europe), but I won't wait an extra 2 months for this, I need to play it!

If this game comes out on either ps4 or 360 I'm going to have to hold out on playing it to play the best version, it sux

getting this on the ps3 regardless.

Wai what! I said that RDR stood out in comparison with IV not the other way around. I'm putting RDR over IV. If I would grade IV I would give it a stable 7.5 or 8 whereas I loved RDR and would give that more than a 8 every day.

Fuck yeah. GTA vs COD, September vs November, battle of the titans!
