Rockstar has revealed three new Grand Theft Auto 5 trailers, one for each of the game's playable characters.

Watch the new footage of Michael, Trevor and Franklin below.

It's the first we've seen of the game in action since last November's trailer.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is due to launch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 17th September. PC, Wii U and next-gen versions have yet to be mentioned.

Trevor is THE Grand Theft Auto character. I can actually see him going out, killing fools, buying prostitutes, killing them for his money back, then killing more fools because why not?

I'm getting the impression that Michael and Trevor are brother or related somehow has this been said anywhere?

Something about Michael reminds me of that lawyer from Vice City, only more psychotic. Franklin is an expy of CJ, and Trevor is my favorite.

Maybe I'll give GTA IV another try. Anyone else notice that in Franklin's portion a gang member in purple (the 3rd Street Saints from Saints Row have that color) is shot?

I Think this might finally be it, there is abig chance that this could fix my relationship with the GTA franchise. To me GTA 4 was a god damn sleeping pill and after playing L.A. Noire and RDR I clearly saw that a lot of things they did in GTA was so freaking wrong(open World speaking) that I just hated that game - GTA4 that is

The 10's of millions of sold GTA games didn't tell you that?  :P
