Forums - Nintendo - Crap my 3DS A button broke.

Well does anyone know how to fix said problem or do I have to send it to Nintendo again?

Strange I've never had a single problem with Nintendo handhelds until 3DS. Even my DS Lite was trouble free for the 5+ years I had it. This breaks 2 times within 1.

No idea:/ I would say just to send it into Nintendo again.

Do you have a XL or original one?

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

OG 3DS. Which is terribad build quality but I'm waiting on a new revision, and not just the XL.

Did you try blowing on it?

Tried that and cleaning with a toothbrush. It works now but needs to be pressed very firmly.

I suspect that over time that even pressing it hard won't do anything, similar to my problems with the R button. I guess I'm sending it to Nintendo.

Build quality on these things sucks. I sent back my OG twice, and my XL twice. Have to send it in again now because they didn't repair it right.

Send it to Nintendo if you can ;o.

I was playing a GBC game on VC. All I can do is mash the A button.

I've never had problems and I've been playing ambassador VC for almost 2 years - just don't be so harsh with it I guess

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.
