Forums - Nintendo - ubisoft sellout of copies of no more heroes

@Sherlock: Suda said there would be a sequel shortly before the first one launched.

Perhaps this explains why not a single store near me has gotten the damn game yet?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

It took Contact, the last Suda Goichi game released in the US, almost 2 months to hit 30K. So that's pretty good, his success track record considered.

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

this game deserves to be sold out no doubt, lets hope it has some legs.

But ioi mentioned that it sold less than 30k in NA. I hope it is undertracked, which normally happens when it is sold off.

Sold out is sold out. If 30k is all that made it to retailers, then it means that somebody somewhere got caught with their pants down and is surprised with how well this game is selling. Beating expectations is always a good thing.

I got suspicious that something like this might happen when the Canadian launch got pushed back to some undefined time in February. And I wasn't the only guy at the game store asking why the game wasn't out yet.

i wonder have many copies would it have sold if ubisoft hadn't screwed up and shipped so few copies of the game?

I don't think they screwed up per se, so much as they tried to estimate the game and may have come in a little low. Regardless demand will be satisfied, this game isn't one people knock down doors for, but if Ubisoft made millions of copies for launch they'd be regretting it now I can say that. I think their estimation was decent it doesn't seem to be sold out everywhere.

@Famousringo: We're in the same boat, bud

See he said it but the ending of the game was weird. It simultaniously made me confident that there will be one but at the same time worried me.. I'm pretty sure if this is one of his better selling games he'll explorethe area of Santa Destroy more but I'm not sure if it'll be the same basic story..

it's not even a Ubisoft game, they just published it in North America. The game is actually made by Grasshopper Manufacturers.

I went shopping for a game at Target and Bestbuy today. Target had no more copies of No More Heroes and Bestbuy had only two left. I was about to pick the game up but I opted to buy Bioshock since I only have one other game for my 360
