Anything to make competition in E3 over Nextbox/PS4? Sorry but it is nothing comparared to what Sony and Microsoft will show... so Nintendo just decided to left the main stage... next year they will make a standard E3 conference again. |
By your logic, why did Microsoft attend E3 2006, or Sony E3 2001?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

You remeber what from theses E3??? The biggest E3 for 360 was the 2005 and 2008 one... and for Wii and PS3 was the 2006.
And don't have me wrong... I think Nintendo needs to have a E3 event this even without nothing to outshine Sony or Microsoft.

Ermm.... that's your opinion.
I could also say Sony has nothing to show because their highlight is a gray generic shooter. Just because those things don't catter to your taste, it doesn't mean it won't impress others.

Opinion?
Sony will show finally the PS4, reaveal all the games for it (most first-party non-shooters), the price, the release date... yeah it is just my opinion lol.
Maybe I just live in the real world.

I mean casual press that my dad read at breakfest... all theses press will conver the E3 biggest announces for weeks or months (I can even say the Microsoft NextBox will be featured in the covers of these casual press). I think that. |
Nintendo Directs which take place during and around E3 will be treated as part of the E3 festivities.
Nintendo is having a private conference just for Western media.
These "casual" publications have covered Nintendo Directs before.
Functionally, as far as media coverage is concerned, there is no difference between Nintendo's plans for this E3 and their previous conferences.

There is difference... next year Nintendo will have a E3 conference again... it's just this year because the news are not that strong to face the competition reveal.

Just what IS that difference? If the media still covers their announcements in the same breath as Microsoft's and Sony's, it's the same as any other E3. Nintendo might receive less attention because they're not launching new hardware, but the type of conference they hold won't change that.

Big conference for big announces = Small conference for little announces?
I can't even try to explain how a big E3 conference is so better and difference from what Nintendo is doing this year... the media coverage is in another level... there are no comparision.
And yeah... the media will cover more Sony/Mincrosoft than Nintendo for sure... most of things showed by Nintendo will be forgotten by the media because they will not have time to give atention to small events done by Nintendo.
That how the business works.

Hahahaha. Yes, little announcements. All Nintendo has confirmed so far are the successor to the third-best-selling video game of all time and the successor to the highest-rated video game of all time. And Smash Bros which surely nobody cares about, unless it's revealed in a live press conference in which case it's the hypest shit.
And surely that's it, there's no way Nintendo will bring anything else to E3, like the already-confirmed new Pokémon generation releasing globally in 5 months, or the two Zelda games releasing this Holiday season. The media doesn't care about these small-time products, again, unless they're discussed in a live, televised press conference. Then the media would be all over it.
I'd be more than willing to make some kind of sig bet with you if I could even figure out how to phrase it. Nintendo will receive mainstream media attention during E3? But I'm sure you'd come back with, "They will, but not as much as they would have if they had a regular press conference." But there's no way to measure that.
