Im sure capcom will be making a decent return on Resident evil revelations selling it on the two old HD systems where people actually buy games; as for Dues Ex...well Square Enix's old CEO is no longer around, im sure they will chauk it up as a mistake under him.

I'm often in awe of you, Train Wreck. Recently Nintendo's been pitching you so many hanging curveballs straight up the middle that an octogenarian with a broken hip can look like Babe Ruth out there, yet you instead keep swinging at ones in the dirt. I'll give you  credit  for not taking the easy swings though.

Nintendo returning to mediocrity is not worth swinging for as im sure a mercy rule would have been imposed since they are making it too easy defeating themselves.

haha, keep dreaming you fool

So you are saying im a fool and I'm dreaming...ok?  I'm guessing the earnings report that was just announced was that of Sony right?

It's not like we are getting another drought on our hands. RE:Revelations, Fast & Furious, Sniper Elite V2, Deus Ex all come out in May, the VC launches this week so that covers the rest of April really, June has E3 so we'll be too excited about other stuff to care and Game & Wario releases.

For all we know W101 will launch mid-late May/Early June and they consider it to not be first party since technically, it is second party. It is still scheduled for a Q2 launch and I feel like Iwata would have mentioned it if it slipped. We also don't know the full release schedule for the VC and could be getting games once a week, that sizzle reel showed off more games than will be available this week after all.

They have also said from earlier on that their release schedule was packed more towards the second half of the year to give 3rd parties the breathing room they want. 3rd parties simply cannot compete with Nintendo's first parties (Sony and MS's cant really either to be honest), so packing the months with coveted titles would just piss off 3rd parties.

Sure I'm an optimist, but I could honestly play Monster Hunter until August and be absolutely fine. What bugs me more is the negative press.....there has been far more positive news than people think (before the earnings release). Just depends on where you get the news....

So reading between the lines, Nintendo has already punted on the Wii U for the April to June quarter. Don't know how you gain third party confidence when you send games Dues Ex and Resident Evil Revelations out to die.

O noes, "abandoning" two year old ports, thosee monsters.

Im sure capcom will be making a decent return on Resident evil revelations selling it on the two old HD systems where people actually buy games; as for Dues Ex...well Square Enix's old CEO is no longer around, im sure they will chauk it up as a mistake under him.

Deus Ex was just an odd idea from the getgo. The game was critically beloved, but did it not already underperform? It's older and yet more obscure than Arkham City...

Revelations should be pleasing to Capcom. That's the kind of game that would be profitable almost how low it sells, very similar to Tri Unlimited (Unlimited on Wii U being a direct port from the 3DS version, just up-ressed).

Also: not advertising.

Sincerely hope the free to play thing was just lipservice. Someone out in this industry has to value keeping, well, value in games.

The advertising quip would make me wonder if they hadn't lost their heads entirely, except for the fact that they did just launch a new TV commercial line.
