Should Nintendo buy the Conduit IP

And do what with it? Let it sit their on the shelf of "Games we'll never actually make"?

Around the Network

Activegamerlife was almost right on the money with a Metriod Prime game having the fast paced multi-player.
In multi-player, you do not play as Samus or Ridley, but a federation soldier/Space Pirate duking it out.

Have an "Ultimate Missile Shower Move/Finisher" for both sides, have the same effect for opposing forces, but in different ways:
For the Fed's, Samus is the all-in-one-army that can systemmaticly 1-shot-kill any Space Pirate in the vicinity, but only if they are in close proximity each other, like in a group. If they are spread too thin, they can hold off Samus and she won't be as effective...

For the Pirates side, they can command a squad of Metroids and set loose on the Feds. Draining their health easier to shoot them dead, but the Metroids are only effective if the Feds are spread to thin/far from each other. If the they act in a group, they can handle the Metroids better when the team is in close proximity of each other.

It's basicly a 2 in 1 game: You got the slow-paced adventure single-player and you got the fast-action-paced multi-player. Both sides of the camp wins! ;)

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

miyamoto could probably shit a more interesting IP in the space shooter genre than the conduit.

i would be interested to see with nintendo could do in the shooter genre but either expand metroid or make a new IP. the conduit already has a trashed public image. there is no value in that IP for nintendo.

No. The James Bond license is available though and probably relatively affordable. That might be something worth investing in just for brand building reasons. Bond is a healthy brand counter point to Nintendo's more cartoony IP and is instantly recognizable anywhere in the world.

Get some TV commercials with Daniel Craig, and you're golden.

Activision has the IP locked down if you havent noticed. Dont see them letting it go.

OT hell no, as people said the name has no worth.

Ok. THIS IS WHAT EXACTLY SHOULDN'T HAPPEN.

Nintendo shouldn't compete on a shooter vs shooter level, it makes 0 sense. They're better off making more Metroid Prime style FPAs rather than pure FPS.

Butconsidering all three of the above mentioned IPs have loyal followings and considering how big this genre is currently dont you think it would be a good purchase? I personally havent played this game so I dont know what it is about but I am sure Nintendo can put their own spin on the game and make it a bit more kid-friendly (if they object to the violence though this may defeat the purpose of this game) to make it stand out from the crowd. I think this game would sit well with other "hardcore" titles such as Zombie U and Bayo 2 and would be an added point of attraction though it may not necessarily sell consoles.
