I think it's a smart app to bring to the system..just don't put it behind a paywall

Read that a CW (a US TV channel for those who didn't know) app is also coming to the xbox

Yep it was availabe alongside the Pizza Hut App. I've downloaded it but haven't played it yet.

One thing I must note is that the CW app looks actually useful (unlike the useless video apps that require a cable account or the ones like the SiFi app that don't have really anything besides pointless clips). From what I read Gold members will have access to a variety of CW shows on demand.

Of course for all I know it might require a sign in from a cable account as well (I hope not though!)

That does sound great. I need to watch the show 'Arrow'..been hearing a lot of good things about it

I just checked it out and it basically shows the last 5 episodes of most of their shows :/ (and a few like "Next Top Model" have a bunch more than that).

So it's not entirely useless but not as good as I was hoping either. To watch "Arrow" you'll probably have to wait until it's on Netflix or something like that.

Nope.  Go to Hulu.com or download the Hulu Plus app and subscribe to Hulu Plus.  If you use Bing and are a part of Bing Rewards, you can get a gift card for 1 month of Hulu with I believe 450 Bing Reward Points.  Without Hulu Plus you can watch the latest 5 episodes, as with the CW app, but with it you have access to the complete series.

Its kinda sad Microsoft go this route with the Xbox brand. Doesn't do any favors to the "fat gamer" stereotypes either. No wall we need is a Doritos app.

MS has pushed Kinect as an excercise device for years now and even offer free exercise software.

Funny how you ignore that.

Never heard of any free exercise software. Funny how they don't promote that huh? I don't see how that image you posted is relevant. Can you even order pizza through the PS3? I mean other than using the ancient web browser?

According to this article, when you opened the PS3 browser there was a button that took you to Papa Johns website.

Is that relevant enough for you.

Its a link to the Papa Johns website. Not exactly the same thing as a dedictaed app on 360 that's been promoted to hell. Not even close.

Does it even matter? Its still there.

As long as Microsoft continue to push out great games, there really is no problem with stuff like this.

That's just the thing though, they're not pushing out great games. There is no 1st party title announced for Xbox 360 this year. NONE. ZIP. NADA.

Do I need to mention the cycle they've put themselves in? Gears, Forza, Halo, repeat.

What are all the MS 1st Party devs working on then, VGKing? Thin air? Relations with fast food companies?

Get a grip.

Theyre on the verge of launching a new console. E3 is right around the corner and MS are holding an event for Xbox in less than a Month. Just because we dont know what theyre doing, doesnt mean theyre doing nothing.

Gears, Forza and Halo always sell well. The genersl consumer is clearly happy with them. I dont get your point.

They have a new console coming out this year. Sony might be rebounding in 2013 from an abysmal 2012 year of games, but MS is not. However, even with that said, in 2013 MS is bringing up games like Crimson Dragon, Lococycle, Ascend, Gears Judgement, Motocross Madness, State of Decay, and Super Time Force. Plus who knows what they will show at E3.

You Sony guys act as if this is some new strategy for MS. They have relied on little retail "AAA" games and a lot of awesome XBLA content this entire generation. The difference between Sony and MS seems to be that Sony doesn't mind investing money making a title available at retail even if it won't sell, and MS would rather put the lower return titles on XBLA. You wouldn't see a Smash Bros clone or Mario Kart clone by MS at retail, it would be on XBLA. Sony opted to put theirs at retail and relied entirely on them in 2012.

As a gamer all I care about is playing good games. No console has been void of them lately for me. But why am I saying this to you? You don't even own a 360. How would you know how good these games are.

Do you own a PS3? I don't see how this is relevant to the discussion. Dont call me a "Sony guy", I find it offensive. Don't bunch me up with other peo'le and certainly don't take my opinions as opinions of the entire "Sony" fanbase. Do it again and I'll have to report you.

You make a great point though. Games like PSABR ad LBP Karing shouldn't have released at retail, certainly not at $60. Sony made a big mistake with their 2012 lineup, it was rather weak. Nothing wrong with trying to push new IP though. You gotta try new stuff and you gotta try to push new IP.

Are people really happy with these franchises? Forza isn't what it used to be, and the newest Gears saw huge declines.

As to what MS devs are working on, you just answered your own question.
