I don't mind it releasing on PS3. I do hope the release date is no where near the PS4's launch, though. DriveClub needs to grow and expand.
Playstation = The Beast from the East
Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

This seems like a poor decision. GT6 should be on PS4 next Christmas. A PS3 release of GT means that the PS4 version is probably at least 3 years away. A port would be no good either, it needs to be exclusive to move systems.

Interesting. You think a PS4 GT could take less time than they traditionally do like the next Pokemon did? I could see them getting it out by 2015 but not earlier.

It wouldn't be out of the norm for GT7 to be released the 3rd or 4th year for the PS4. As I said before the 3rd year is the sweet spot. Early games tend to have a good attach ratio which is why it is better to release new Ip's than sequels. Early adopter will buy a new console as long is there is some good games, it doesnt need to be sequels. The sequels like Halo and gran turismo will sell more in the 3rd year than they would have in the first year. This also makes the longevity of the console.
Just to note, Im saying the 3rd or 4th year so 2016/2017

Not to sound as if I am trolling, because I love Gran Turismo, but I would personally rather they spend as much time on a next gen GT as possible and not bother with a GT6 on current gen. I don't want a repeat of GT5 where only a small portion of the game got real next gen treatment and the rest was just higher res assets from the previous gen. I want a 100% next gen GT game, even if it takes 3-4 years into PS4's lifetime.
GT6 + PS3 price cut = me getting that console to play it AND Tales of Xillia AND FF Versus XIII

Yeap but his point it valid... GT4 was released in 2006 (late 2005 in Japan) just when the PS3 was about to be launched. |
