.....Horrid. What's up with Nintendo's marketing nowadays?

They should do what they do for 3DS, advert the games, not the console. (Oh wait...)

The more I see nintendo trying to push this piece of hardware the less I seem to like it. This is how it suppose to work right RIGHT??

agreed apple is like a wizard at marketing.

I like it when she says "It's professor Layton".  Those ads are good, and get across the simple message "Hot girls like to play 3DS".  The Dianna Agron ones are great for showing unique features of the 3DS too.  WiiU nees some like that, or ads that mimic Apples iPad ads, showing people doing unique things with the Gamepad.  Megan Fox flinging ninja stars at the TV would be great.   Or Brad Pitt making Angelena Jolie into a Zombi using the Zombi camera.  Come on Nintendo!

They were painful to watch.

But like people have already said, they're not aimed at someone like me. I have no idea if they'll be doing any good for the actual target demographic, we'll have to see. And I suppose they're doing a good job with what they've got, considering the system isn't rife with options to draw people in at the minute.

The message they're getting across at the end is important though. That Wii-U is a new machine.

thought these may be really cheesy ads, but I'm not going to join the bandwagon and say the Wii U sucks just because these people like it. People need to realize that the hardcore audience is nothing but an small fracture of the gaming industry same as casual. The hardcore audience doesn't hold the industry, its a massive consumers of audience that hold the industry up. What's wrong with trying to plead a numerous amount of different gamers. The only console that perfectly caught the eye of both casual and hardcore was the Xbox360.
