A new F-Zero game for Wii U could be in development according to a tweet from developer Shin'en Multimedia.

Recently a fan of the F-Zero series expressed his desire for a new game for Wii U viaTwitter. The developers Shin’en Multimedia tweeted the fan back, saying that something was definitely in the works. Perhaps we’ll see something at E3 concerning F-Zero? A later tweet confirms that the developers are working on two Wii U games that will be announced later this year. Many of you have been asking for a new game and this year’s E3 is certainly shaping up to be one of the best in many years.

What do you think? Are you excited to play a new F-Zero game on Wii U? Let us know in the comments below.

This would be making many fans happy, that's for sure^^

They (Shin'en) have something in the works that scratches that F-Zero itch which almost 100% means that they are working on a FAST Racing League game for Wii U.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

After the announcement of bringing Earthbound to VC and things like Kid Icarus: Uprising doing fairly well I am hopeful that we see some more gems come back to Nintendo systems.

I watched the outpouring of support for Earthbound on Miiverse and while F-Zero's support was not nearly as large there were quite a few people making drawings about an F-Zero U.

Systems Currently Playing: WiiU, PS3, 3DS

Also Have: Atari 2600, NES, SNES, PS1, N64, PS2, Wii, GB, GBC, GBA, DSLite, DSi, Android (RazorMax), iPhone (4), iPad (2)

Well, give that game engine, change the gameplay to fit FZero, the songs, I will be a happy camper.

It is plausible. Until I just looked them up on Wikipedia after reading the OP, I didn't even know Shinen was a developer, let alone a Nintendo developer. They make the Nano Assault/ Nanostray series for DS/ 3DS.

It would be a massive undertaking for them to make a full Wii U game, though. They seem to be a pretty small studio.

We're well overdue, certainly. I was thinking about the new Smash Bros and that when it came out, Captain Falcon there would have been zero new F-Zeros between Brawl and SSB4

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I think we will make it to the 10 years before a new F-zero is released.. the last one was in 2004 on the GBA... O_o

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

This would definetly mean I would buy the system. Metroid, Zelda and F Zero is enough to justify buying a Wii U for.

With the minigame present in Nintendo Land, I'm sure most people were expecting this.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
