So I was planning on buying the game soon so I looked up the sales for it, over 1m sold? I might be going crazy but wasn't it like .50 or .75 not that long ago?! lol

The game was pretty much known as a sales failure, if VGC is close to the real numbers I'd say it did decently well.

It was quite a while ago when it was around 750K. I have followed its sales (dont ask me why lol). It's been just under a million for a long time too. I do not know when it passed a million.

VGC sales tracking, the system and statistics is that all games continue to sell nearly forever but progressively less. But sometimes something disturbs the equation so those "legs" sales might become unrealistically high, which in the long run adds up to a substantial number of overtracking.

hah yeah, my bad could've sworn I checked it like maybe a year ago and it was 750k lol Still interesting to see that it passed 1m

It'll be nice if we could get some real numbers released

I have the first game.... On backlog. I'll get around to it by the 720 release, (assuming they don't launch at E3!) and hopefully the second too. If I play them one after another it will just seem like 1 bigger game. I won't feel the disappointment some have said they did. Hopefully.

Never really played either. Played the original for the Halo 3 beta.

Microsoft doesn't do 1million. Its 2.5 or better.

I dont have the link, but i do remember reading a Ruffian employee's LinkedIn profile saying that the game had sold well over million, also Crackdown 2 had an 8 month development cycle: http://ie.ign.com/articles/2010/07/02/ruffians-hell-high-times-with-crackdown-2

Second one is basically the same as the first one. I mean, jumping around/exploring almost exactly the same. That was the problem.

It's just that simple.

Given the dev time I'd say thats actually good. I wonder if MS has any interest in this franchise still? A next gen one would be nice I suppose

Haven't played the first one so it'll be like a new game to me. Also I'm basically getting this game for free so no risk lol
