They did a lot better on handhelds. I'm actually pretty confident that JRPGs are the best selling genre on them.

Would almost make sense to take a 2 Genre Game and Split its sales between those 2 Genre's. If the point is to just compare Genre/Console vs Genre/Console

i like it, he went through a lot of trouble, but to be honest there isnt anything here that most of us did not already know. There are alot of factors keeping this from being accurate, i bet those platfomer numbers would change alot if we could get DL data seeing as alot of those games are on PSN/XBL. It is interesting to see how skwed things become. Ninty has the most racing sales, but they are pretty much coming from one game, where the others are more widespread. not to mention their a some genres that are painfully underrepresented. FPS on Wii. Misc on PS3

I guess I have chosen the right #1 console for me, since almost all my favourite genres are selling best with 360. Without a doubt, my next console will be a MS console too.

Obviously 360 was going to have the most successful genres. It has one of the highest attach rates of any console.

Wii lead genres = Misc... that pretty much says it all. Nintendo should quit consoles next year.
